Kaz Hudson
Kaz Hudson is a versatile, award-winning guitarist, with 1st prizes in the James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition and Denver Guitar Festival Competition. He was a featured artist on NPR’s From the Top and a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. Kaz began his studies in Colorado with Mike Hyland and Jonathan Leathwood, developing a diverse musical background in jazz combos, wind ensembles, choirs, and pit orchestras. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Meng Su. An avid chamber musician, Kaz was the first guitarist accepted into the YellowBarn Young Artists Program, performing on both classical and electric guitar. Kaz loves exploring genres including jazz, folk, rock, and Latin American music, aiming to collaborate widely and expand his artistic palette. He strives to use his wide-ranging influences to offer audiences authentic, engaging musical experiences.
