Hailed by The Orange County Register and Dr. John Reynolds of Orange County School of the Arts as “an exceptional leader, musician, friend, and role model”, saxophonist Trent Horio is a proactive advocate devoted to bringing music to underserved educational communities through teaching and performing. Trent Horio believes that music rallies people together and strengthens communities. He has performed at various venues in Southern California, initiated musical non-profit organizations and projects, and has led his school’s jazz band to achieving the Outstanding Saxophone Section Award at the 27th and 28th Annual National Essentially Ellington Competition. He is currently pursuing a BM in Jazz Saxophone at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Patrick Wolff and David Sanchez.
